The television personality, aged 45, is scheduled to make a court appearance in January concerning alleged offences.

Hanson, known as both an auctioneer and an expert, faces accusations of two instances of assault by beating, two cases of assault causing actual bodily harm, and one charge of controlling and coercive behaviour.

As per The Sun’s report, he has been charged with a total of seven offences, although he denies all allegations.

Derbyshire Police issued a statement mentioning that the expert was charged on December 14 and was ‘released on police bail to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on 10 January.’

This development follows reports of the auctioneer having moved out of the family’s £1.5 million home earlier this year.

He wed Rebecca Ludian in August 2012, and the couple has two children together.

Hanson informed Metro.co.uk that he refutes ‘all the allegations’ levelled against him.

He stated, ‘I refute all of the allegations.’

“I have never displayed aggressive or unlawful behaviour towards my family. Our marriage has weathered challenging times, and it is truly disheartening that this situation has escalated to a criminal matter.

I am committed to fully cooperating with the investigation and legal proceedings.

Hanson, a registered surveyor and auctioneer, initially joined Bargain Hunt as an expert in 2002.

Similar to several other experts on the show, he has made appearances on related TV series such as Flog It! and Antiques Road Trip.

Bargain Hunt involves two teams of contestants hunting for antiques to sell at auction for a profit. The team that garners the highest profit is declared the episode’s victor.”
