WWE’s Liv Morgan was apprehended, prompting a uniform reaction among fans upon seeing her mugshot
WWE superstar Liv Morgan has been apprehended on drug-related charges.
The former women’s champion, known as Gionna Daddio, was stopped in Sumter County, Florida, this week during a traffic check and subsequently arrested on several charges related to drug possession.
Apart from having less than 20 grams of marijuana, she is also accused of possessing drug paraphernalia and potentially synthetic cannabinoid substances.
During a stop by a sheriff’s deputy on Thursday evening, there was reportedly a detection of a marijuana scent.
Allegedly, the deputy discovered a small bag with marijuana in her vehicle, alongside a vape pen containing a substance resembling oil, later confirmed to be marijuana according to the arrest report.
The 29-year-old wrestler was released a few hours after posting bail of $3,000.
If proven guilty, having under 20 grams of marijuana is classified as a misdemeanour in Florida. The maximum penalty includes a one-year jail term or probation, along with a fine of up to $1,000.
She is scheduled for arraignment on February 12, 2024, at the Sumter County Courthouse. At this hearing, she will be required to declare either a guilty or not guilty plea.
In the meantime, fans have responded surprisingly to the news following the release of Morgan’s mugshot. Some individuals have even adopted the photo as their profile picture on X (formerly Twitter).

Morgan has been absent from action since July, having recently returned after a six-month injury hiatus. She previously discussed the challenging period she faced, both mentally and physically, during her recovery from the earlier setback. Morgan revealed that she sought solace in video games and playing the piano as activities that brought her joy.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, she shared, “Recovering was very hard. I had to rediscover my hobbies, interests, and what brings me joy.” She described the experience as a journey of rediscovery.
