PC Lee Prince, a firearms officer with Wiltshire Police, was on duty on the 17th of April last year.

During a hearing at the City of London Court, it emerged that PC Prince assaulted a 17-year-old boy outside the premises of Liquor World in White Bream Court, Swindon.

The incident occurred shortly after PC Prince arrived on the scene, where his colleagues had already detained a teenager on suspicion of causing criminal damage.

The court was told that PC Prince resorted to verbal abuse towards the teenager before striking him twice in the head.

Assistant Chief Constable Mark Cooper commented on the matter, stating, “The public rightly expect the highest standards of behaviour from our officers. When it’s discovered they’ve not met these standards, it’s imperative they face the consequences. It’s crucial for Wiltshire Police to continue efforts in restoring public trust and confidence. Demonstrating our commitment to applying the law impartially is key to this process.”

PC Prince is awaiting his sentence, scheduled for the 16th of April.
