The retailer wilko.com has announced the relaunch of its home delivery service for online orders, commencing today on Friday, 13th October. The platform will now feature a ‘marketplace’ format, offering a wide range of products and brands.

The website’s initial inventory includes thousands of product lines, ranging from everyday household essentials to gardening items.

Back in August, Wilko faced financial challenges, ultimately leading to its administration and the unfortunate loss of around 12,000 jobs.

Despite the diligent efforts of administrators from PwC, a significant portion of the business could not be rescued.

The acquisition of Wilko’s brand and online operations by The Range proved to be a vital lifeline, ensuring the retention of 36 digital team members who have now transitioned to the homeware retailer founded by Chris Dawson.

Moreover, as the site expands and reinstates various delivery options, including next-day delivery, hundreds of new product lines and proprietary brand items will be introduced daily.

Shoppers can also anticipate the arrival of Wilko-branded products in The Range stores nationwide by the end of the month.
