The AO Arena in Manchester played host to two highly anticipated bouts, one featuring KSI and Tommy Fury, and the other pitting Logan Paul against Dillon Danis. Regrettably, neither of these matches managed to live up to the lofty expectations surrounding them. The showdown between Paul and Danis, in particular, garnered a barrage of criticism, with British journalist Piers Morgan openly expressing his disappointment in Danis’ performance at the AO Arena.

Morgan recently derided Danis on his show following his lacklustre performance against WWE’s Logan Paul, known as “The Maverick”. The bout ended with Danis being disqualified and Paul declared the victor. This marked the conclusion of a feud that, at times, took a highly personal turn, largely due to the relentless taunts from the former MMA champion directed at his opponent’s fiancée.
Throughout the majority of the fight, Paul unleashed a barrage of jabs and punches, maintaining control of the pace. On the other hand, the MMA fighter primarily adopted a defensive stance, avoiding significant offensive moves. However, as the final bell rang, Danis made a last-ditch effort to apply a guillotine choke on Paul. This led to the referee disqualifying him, resulting in chaos as security and team members flooded into the ring.
In the aftermath of the bout, Danis made an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored for an interview with the esteemed British journalist. However, the exchange proved to be rather challenging for him, as Morgan raised questions about his performance at the AO Arena and mockingly critiqued his efforts.
During the interview, Danis found himself subjected to a barrage of inquiries, including, “You managed to land just nine punches across six rounds; one might say that’s rather underwhelming, wouldn’t you?” Nevertheless, Danis came prepared with a retort, asserting that Logan Paul deliberately evaded engaging with him throughout their encounter. He stated, “Indeed. It’s because he was evading me. Even Conor [McGregor] acknowledged it, he was constantly on the defensive.”
In response to this, Logan Paul swiftly took to X (Twitter) to voice his perspective. The popular YouTube figure and wrestler contended that Piers Morgan had ‘crossed a line’ in his interview with Danis and couldn’t resist light-heartedly poking fun at the entire episode.
