Former This Morning personality Dr. Ranj Singh has disclosed that Holly Willoughby is poised to make a return to television. Holly bid farewell to the enduring ITV show in October after a 14-year tenure as its anchor—a choice motivated by her commitment to family. Although confirmation is pending regarding Holly’s hosting role in the forthcoming series of Dancing On Ice, Ranj has affirmed that viewers can anticipate her reappearance on screen in the foreseeable future.

Dr Ranj Singh said Holly will return to TV

“Without a doubt, she will make a return to television,” he informed Closer. “Her talent is too exceptional to be sidelined. While I’m uncertain about the specifics of the programme or channel, her proficiency in the field makes it imprudent for her to completely withdraw.”

The doctor also disclosed that he had contacted Holly following her departure. Describing their text conversation, he remarked, “I messaged Holly simply to ensure she was alright. The challenges she’s faced recently have undoubtedly been demanding.”

“We all extended our support to ensure she’s okay. She responded, confirming that she’s well.”

He added, “Clearly, it’s a challenging situation for her, and she’s had to make a tough decision. However, the compassionate thing to do is to reach out and simply check on her.”

Holly left This Morning in October

Holly revealed her departure from the programme in a statement shared on social media last month.

“After 14 years, I’ve informed ITV today that I won’t be returning to This Morning,” the presenter announced. “To everyone who has been part of the show throughout the years, thank you so much. Saying goodbye is incredibly tough; you are all amazing, and I will forever be proud of our collective achievements.

“I appreciate the support from everyone at ITV. A big thank you to every guest who has graced our sofa. Above all, heartfelt thanks to the wonderful viewers. Your loyalty, support, and delightful company every day have meant the world.”

Holly’s participation in Dancing on Ice is still awaiting confirmation.

The 42-year-old further expressed, “Richard and Judy emphasised, ‘We merely oversee this show; it will always remain in the hands of the viewers.’ It has truly been a privilege to contribute to its narrative, and I am confident that this tale has numerous chapters yet to unfold. Regrettably, however, I now find myself compelled to make this decision for the sake of both my well-being and that of my family. I shall dearly miss each and every one of you.”

Holly’s departure follows closely on the heels of her This Morning co-host, Phillip Schofield, bidding farewell to ITV just a few months ago. Schofield stepped down following an acknowledgment of an “imprudent but non-illegal” relationship with a younger colleague on the programme.

Rylan Clark and Cat Deeley have been added to the hosting team for this week

Ranj’s interview coincides with This Morning unveiling a fresh presenter lineup this week. Cat Deeley and Rylan Clark have joined the regular hosting team, which includes Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary, and Craig Doyle.
