Colin Egglesfield Diagnosed with Cancer for the Third Time
Colin Egglesfield Recovering from Prostate Cancer Surgery After Third Diagnosis

Colin Egglesfield has received his third cancer diagnosis.
The 51-year-old actor, known for his role in Melrose Place, recently shared that he underwent surgery for prostate cancer and expressed his gratitude for catching it at an early stage.
He posted on Instagram: “It’s not the hand you’ve been dealt because you can’t change that. It’s how you play the cards that counts.
“I found this quote from an interview I did when I was 25, and it has served me well throughout my life, especially recently. The start of this year hasn’t been the easiest, but in the spirit of what I said in my interview, this is another opportunity to decide who I want to be in the face of uncertainty and challenges, particularly with my recent cancer diagnosis.”
The Client List star expressed deep gratitude for the medical professionals who supported him during this difficult time.
He continued: “Thankfully, we caught my prostate cancer early. After a year of thorough research and speaking with several healthcare professionals, I decided to be proactive and go for surgery.
“I’m so thankful for the incredible support and care I’ve received over the past few months from @cityofhopephx, Dr. Gellhaus, and all the nurses, doctors, and staff who have been vital in supporting me through this scary period.”
Colin’s journey with cancer began in 2006 when he was first diagnosed with testicular cancer shortly after joining the soap opera All My Children.
A year later, the cancer spread to his other testicle.
At the time, he used his experience to stress the importance of regular health check-ups.
He wrote: “Hopefully, this serves as a reminder that you’re not alone in whatever you’re facing and that advocating for your health is crucial. This includes regular check-ups, seeking information, and asking for help when you need it!
“And thank you to everyone who has supported me and sent well wishes. I feel it, and every day I’m getting healthier and stronger. I’m still a bit sore, but I’m making progress and am determined to return stronger and healthier than ever, especially with the help of my trusty walker.”
He added: “It all begins with a decision to commit to who you want to be in the face of any challenge. I choose to be RESILIENCE, FAITH, COURAGE, GRACE, and INSPIRATION. What do you choose to be? I’m also honoured to be leading @cityofhope and their @cityofhopecancerfighters programme next month, to support others on their cancer journey. Let’s go! You’re not alone!”
Colin concluded his post with a reminder to men about the importance of checking their PSA (prostate-specific antigen) levels.
He said: “And fellas, make sure to get your PSA checked regularly.
“It saved my life! Thank you again for all your support!”
