Sam Thompson from ITV’s ‘I’m A Celeb’ Stripped of Prize, Left With Nothing to Show for Victory
Sam Thompson Crowned 'King of the Jungle' on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' But Reveals He Wasn't Permitted to Keep Anything, as Shared on This Morning.

Sam Thompson emerged victorious in the latest season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, claiming the esteemed title of King of the Jungle.
Beyond clinching the show’s top honour, the former Made in Chelsea star endeared himself to the nation, earning the admiration of both viewers and fellow campmates alike, thanks to his affable personality and lively character.
During Monday’s episode of This Morning on the 18th of December, Sam joined recent Strictly Come Dancing champions, Ellie Leach from Coronation Street and her partner Vito Coppola. The trio shared reflections on their individual journeys.
In conversation with hosts Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson, who herself was a campmate and finished fourth on I’m A Celeb, Sam, Ellie, and Vito discussed their show memorabilia. While Ellie excitedly spoke about her possession of the Strictly Glitterball trophy, which she brought to the show, Sam revealed he wasn’t permitted to retain any souvenirs from his time on I’m A Celeb.”

Human-Like: Sam’s Response to Ellie’s Glitterball Prompted Josie to Inquire About His Absent Crown. The iconic I’m A Celebrity crown, akin to a garland adorned with flowers and foliage, is traditionally bestowed upon winners by Ant and Dec while seated on the wooden throne.
Nevertheless, Sam disclosed his departure from Australia without any keepsakes, lamenting to the presenter and fellow guests: “I departed empty-handed! They refused to permit me to retain anything!

“Returning the sceptre was necessary,” he explained, expressing his desire to take it through airport security due to its considerable size.
“However, I couldn’t bring it along. So, I’m left empty-handed,” Sam concluded.
Even though the podcast host couldn’t bring home his crown, sceptre, or any victory mementos, Sam departed the jungle with cherished memories and newfound friendships.

During his stay in Australia, Sam developed a strong friendship with ex-boxer Tony Bellew, sparking a close bond that captured the nation’s attention.
The 31-year-old and 41-year-old charmed audiences with their playful behaviour, and their newfound camaraderie has extended beyond their time in the jungle.

In Sam’s heartfelt Instagram stories, he openly expresses his longing for Tony, while Tony, in turn, takes to social media to affirm how deserving Sam is of victory. Let’s remain optimistic that this bromance endures in the days to come.
