Rebekah Vardy responded to Coleen Rooney’s ‘two-faced’ allegations with a bold message on her Instagram account.
Coleen’s latest documentary series, “Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story,” is now available for streaming on Disney+. It presents the perspective of the WAG in relation to the infamous Wagatha Christie trial. This trial involved Wayne Rooney’s wife, 37, accusing Rebekah, 41, of divulging stories about her to the media.
In the documentary, Rebekah is alleged to have contacted Coleen shortly after a scandal involving Wayne came to light. However, the star, who maintains her innocence regarding the sale of stories about her fellow WAG, has now expressed her viewpoint on social media. Rebekah lost her libel case against the mother of four in May of last year.

Heading to Instagram, Rebekah shared a picturesque snapshot of a beachside restaurant, cocooned by swaying palm trees, with the caption: “And relax” accompanied by a wine glass emoji. The spouse of Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy was photographed at Heathrow yesterday before jetting off with her family to sunnier climes for the half-term break, while UK fans settle in to follow The Real Wagatha Story.
In this three-part documentary series, Coleen reveals that Rebekah extended her support shortly after a scandal involving Wayne, leading Coleen to believe her former friend was providing a solid foundation. With tears in her eyes, Coleen confesses, “Throughout that day, I received messages asking if I was alright. It was from my private account, so it was people letting me know they were there if I needed them. Rebekah reached out. I thought it was a kind message. I believed she was just showing care and empathy because she had also experienced the scrutiny of the public eye.”

Rebekah has yet to offer an official comment on the tell-all series. However, in August, she did take a sly dig at Coleen, dubbing the Scouse star as “boring” and “attention-seeking”. This response coincided with the release of Coleen’s British Vogue cover shoot and her revelatory interview.
Despite maintaining relative silence regarding the Wagatha Christie saga for over three years, Coleen described Rebekah as ‘odd’ in her Vogue interview. She also expressed her revulsion at the ‘malicious’ messages presented in court. Coleen stated, “I feel like a lot of people still don’t understand what happened, from beginning to end. But what I said in that post, I still stand by today.”
In October 2019, Coleen made pop culture history by sharing a groundbreaking statement online, accusing Rebekah’s social media accounts of leaking stories to the press – a claim Rebekah vehemently refutes. This post led to a High Court case after Rebekah pursued legal action, resulting in one of the most high-profile cases in history. The judge ultimately ruled in Coleen’s favour.
