Taylor Dayne was seen in New York City, presenting a striking departure from her past appearance. She sported a rejuvenated look with a stylish bob hairstyle, showcasing a youthful transformation, having successfully battled cancer.
Iconic pop sensation Taylor Dayne made a rare appearance in New York City, decades after her chart-topping anthem “Tell It To My Heart” catapulted her to stardom at the tender age of 25.
Renowned for her untamed, curly locks often adorned with blonde highlights, along with her penchant for leather jackets, sheer bodysuits, and striking makeup, Taylor Dayne now exudes a more refined aura. Presently, she showcases sleek, honey-blonde tresses, elegantly styled in loose waves during her recent outing.
At 61 years old, the American singer was seen donning a bold red and white checkered dress featuring a daring thigh-high slit, complemented by a grey scarf and her trademark cropped jacket. Her ensemble was rounded off with calf-length black leather boots and a lustrous pink lip.
Despite releasing her most recent album in 2008, Taylor hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. She has continued to captivate fans with numerous TV appearances over the years and kept releasing singles up until 2014.
In 2020, she dazzled fans with her appearance on The Masked Singer US as Popcorn, impressively making it to the semi-finals. Furthermore, in 2022, she took part in RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race, adopting the persona Electra Owl.
Despite her thriving career, Taylor has never walked down the aisle. However, in 2003, she welcomed twins Astaria and Levi through a surrogate. Speaking to the USA’s OK! magazine about her journey to motherhood, she shared, “I had a surrogate carry them and they were conceived from my egg. I initially went for one, and ended up with two. When she called me with the news, I felt a great sense of pride in this achievement.”
A friend proposed the concept of “hiring a womb”, yet Taylor had to shuttle between her residence in New York and Los Angeles during the procedure, as surrogacy was prohibited in her state at the time.
She conveyed her aspirations for her offspring, stating: “My greatest wish for them is to ensure they lead happy, fulfilled, serene, and accomplished lives, making a positive impact and mastering the art of living purposefully. It brings me comfort knowing that they harbor a sense of security in their hearts, while also pushing their boundaries.”
Taylor’s journey has seen its share of challenges. Just last year, she disclosed her diagnosis of colon cancer, a condition shared by I’m A Celeb star Adele Roberts and the late Dame Deborah James. This diagnosis followed a routine colonoscopy that uncovered an abnormal polyp.
Taylor subsequently underwent surgery to have 10 inches of her colon removed. Fortunately, she received the relieving news that she was cancer-free, with no necessity for chemotherapy or radiation.
