According to a body language expert, the footage of the Windsor walkabout reunion indicates that Prince Harry was subtly guiding Meghan Markle away from Prince William and Kate during their initial public appearance together since the Oprah Winfrey interview.

The ‘fab four’ procession at Windsor Castle marked a significant moment as Prince William, Prince Harry, Meghan, and Kate came together for the first time after a period of public tension following the passing of the late Queen Elizabeth II. While the occasion held great emotional weight, footage from the day suggests that unity may have been lacking between the royal brothers and their respective wives.

Body language expert Jesús Enrique Rosas analysed footage from this historic day. Despite the four walking alongside each other, expressing gratitude towards well-wishers, Rosas claims to have observed Prince Harry guiding his wife away from Prince William and Kate.

This moment occurred as the quartet returned to their car after paying their respects at the tributes for the late monarch. Prince William reportedly extended an olive branch to Meghan and Harry on this occasion. However, videos captured on the day hint at potential tension.

In a recent upload on his Royal Rogue channel on Youtube, Jesús remarked that the footage indicated Prince Harry was ‘guiding his wife away from William and Catherine’. As reported by The Express, Rosas described it as one of the most ‘remarkable displays of body language’ he has ever witnessed.

As the group prepared to depart, Harry was seen leading Meghan towards the car. However, in the video, they appeared momentarily confused about their seating arrangements. Subsequently, Harry was observed guiding Meghan around to the right side, positioned behind the passenger’s seat, which happened to be occupied by Kate.

At this point, Harry stepped behind his wife, placing his hands on her waist, seemingly encouraging her to move, while passing Prince William in an awkward manner. This interaction wasn’t the only one that appeared to carry an air of unease.

As Jesús remarked, “It was evident that despite any discomfort Catherine may have felt, she carried herself with confidence. She demonstrated the proper etiquette for sharing the stage with others.

“Meanwhile, Meghan appeared nervous, occasionally glancing towards Catherine. For a brief moment, Meghan’s left hand even moved to cover her chest. In contrast, Catherine walked with a strong posture, her hands at ease, and her chin held high.”

Jesús went on to elaborate how Kate exuded a notably greater sense of assurance in that moment. “I’ve observed Catherine walking countless times, and she doesn’t typically hold her chin that high. In certain situations, it might be misconstrued as arrogance, but in this instance, it conveyed more of a… assertion of her authority.

“Despite the demands placed on William and Catherine at that moment, they conducted themselves with utmost diplomacy and courtesy. This is a testament to a certain quality some possess, an integral part of emotional intelligence.”

In the video, Jesús also analysed footage and images of Prince William interacting with well-wishers. He pointed out what he believes to be Meghan’s more reserved reactions to the crowd in comparison to Kate’s. The footage captures William addressing and waving to the crowds, with Kate following suit, before Meghan turns to give a ‘small wave’.

Upon reviewing pictures from the day, the body language expert shared his observations about the four individuals as they stood by the car. He remarked, “This picture is another powerful representation of presence. You can discern the tension in Meghan’s body, with her arm held close, and if you observe closely, you can also detect tension in her neck.

“It’s worth noting that this isn’t to say Catherine wasn’t experiencing tension as well. However, even amidst that tension, she understood that she had a role larger than herself and her own emotions.”
