A gentleman in his seventies sustained severe injuries following a collision with a car in Surrey.
The incident occurred as the pedestrian was crossing Kingston Road in Staines-upon-Thames, at the intersection with Petersfield Avenue on Friday evening.
He was hit by a Volkswagen Polo.
