The revered goalkeeper, aged 78, who earned an impressive 119 caps for Northern Ireland, was present at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the London derby, but fell unwell before kick-off. The Daily Mail has reported that medical staff assessed Jennings before he was transported to the hospital.

The report further states that Jennings, who commenced his English football career with Watford in the 1960s, showed signs of improvement later in the evening. Jennings is held in high regard by fans on both sides of north London.

He made a total of 472 appearances for Spurs between 1964 and 1977 before transferring to the Gunners, where he featured in 237 games before departing Highbury in 1985. In the same year, he played a farewell match against Tottenham.

Following his retirement as a player, Jennings ventured into coaching and had a period back at Tottenham as a goalkeeping coach. More recently, he has been involved in corporate hospitality at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
