Nigel Farage’s partner, Laure Ferrari, sustained an injury while surfing. The 44-year-old, who has been in a relationship with the former right-wing politician for six years, is currently accompanying him during his participation in ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ in Australia.
According to a friend quoted by The Sun, Laure had a surfing mishap, resulting in a non-serious injury to her right arm. She sought medical attention at the hospital and will likely be in a sling for a week or two. Despite this, she remains in high spirits and is thoroughly enjoying her time in Australia.
During her recovery, Laure was spotted engaging with this year’s show cast, including Frankie Dettori, at the Marriott Hotel in Surfer’s Paradise, donning the arm sling.
Laure has been in Australia since the end of last week, observing Nigel on the show as he advances to the semi-final alongside Josie Gibson, Tony Bellew, and Sam Thompson.
She’s been spotted relishing the sunshine, engaging in activities like swimming and spending time at the beach throughout the week.
Isabelle, Nigel’s daughter, has been commuting to the camp daily at 5.30am, joining other friends and family at the hotel to lend support in case Nigel faces elimination.
While Laure hasn’t yet made the journey, she may head down to the camp for the final two days of the show to welcome her partner upon his departure from the show.
The 44-year-old woman met Nigel back in 2007 when she was 28 and working as a waitress in Strasbourg, France. She previously stated to The Sun: “I’m not a secret. I’m here, I do exist, and I wholeheartedly support Nigel. It’s incredibly important for me to make that clear.”
Barbara Farage, Nigel’s mother, also shared with the publication: “She’s delightful. A stylish French lady who complements him well. She adores him and always seeks to be by his side.”
This follows the astonishment of fans as the final vote led to the departure of the latest campmate on Friday, prompting many to express their dismay on social media.
One viewer expressed disappointment, tweeting, “I’m absolutely gutted that Marvin got voted out. I really wanted to see him tackle the celebrity cyclone. Marvin, you’re my king of the jungle, so proud of you!”
Another viewer argued that Nigel should have been the one to leave. They stated, “It should have been Tony, Sam, Marvin & Nick x,” on social media.
Although Marvin missed out on reaching the final, he had a heartwarming reunion with his wife Rochelle. Their affectionate kiss on the show’s iconic bridge marked the end of his time in the jungle, where he had been missing her dearly.
