Regrettably, Netflix has opted to discontinue several shows, including “Shadow And Bone,” “Glamorous,” and the adult animated series “Agent Elvis,” “Farzaar,” and “Captain Fall.” These programmes will not be renewed for new seasons.

Sources from Variety indicate that Netflix’s decision to cancel these shows was influenced by various factors, encompassing their performance and the ramifications of ongoing strikes in Hollywood. The industry is presently reassessing production schedules and potential changes to their lineup.

Consistent with previous cancellations, Netflix continues to weigh viewing figures against production expenses in determining the fate of its programmes.

Notably, “Agent Elvis,” “Glamorous,” “Farzaar,” and “Captain Fall” all had brief runs, each ending after just one season. “Shadow And Bone,” on the other hand, met its cancellation following its second season, which debuted on the streaming platform in March.

Drawing inspiration from Leigh Bardugo’s Grishaverse novels, Netflix’s rendition of Shadow And Bone delves into Alina Sarkoff’s journey, navigating her sudden shift from an orphan to Ravka’s saviour. Despite a substantial viewership and the emergence of a video game series spurred by its first season, Netflix opted to terminate the show.

While the fantasy series initially saw promise, its second season failed to replicate the earlier success. It lingered on Netflix’s Top 10 English-Language TV chart for five weeks but fell short of claiming the top spot.

In the realm of animation, Captain Fall had originally been slated for 20 episodes, split into two parts for its inaugural season. However, Netflix axed the cartoon following Part 1’s inability to amass the necessary audience to propel the series forward.

Despite the discontinuation of other beloved animated series like Disenchantment, Inside Job, Q Force, and Big Mouth, Netflix remains committed to investing in adult animation.

Concurrently, the streaming platform recently disclosed a substantial list of films set to depart from the service in November, notably including all four installments of The Hunger Games.
