Middle-aged Man Rushed to East London Hospital with Head Injuries Following Late-Night ‘Robbery’

A man in his forties was swiftly transported to an East London hospital on the night of Monday, October 16, following a violent robbery that resulted in severe head injuries.

Another individual, also in his forties, has been apprehended on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, robbery, and possessing a knife, in connection to the incident which occurred at 9:19 pm on Monday in Hornchurch.

Law enforcement responded promptly to North Street after the assault and detained the alleged assailant. An inquiry into the precise sequence of events is presently underway.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: “Police were alerted at 21:19 on Monday, 16 October, regarding an assault in North Street, Hornchurch. Officers, accompanied by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, were dispatched. A man in his forties was discovered with a head injury. He was conveyed to the hospital, where his condition was assessed as non-life-threatening and not life-changing.”
