Michelle Keegan has earned widespread praise from viewers, fans, and celebrity acquaintances for her portrayal in Netflix’s Fool Me Once.

The 36-year-old former Coronation Street star has received an outpouring of support for her role as Maya Stern in the streaming platform’s adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel.

Since Fool Me Once premiered on Netflix on New Year’s Day, audiences have been streaming to watch the show, making it the current most-watched programme on Netflix in over 60 countries, as announced by Michelle.

The star’s remarkable performance in the new spy thriller features a compelling plot with explosive twists and a stellar cast, which includes Joanna Lumley in the role of Michelle’s character’s mother-in-law.

Sharing the success of the show and her remarkable achievement with her 7.1 million Instagram followers, Michelle confessed that she currently feels like she’s “in a dream” and is “over the moon.”

Expressing her joy, she stated, “Being number 1 in the world and in over 60 countries, I feel like I’m in a dream right now.”

Michelle extended her gratitude, saying, “A heartfelt thank you to every individual who has reached out or messaged me regarding ‘Fool Me Once.’ I assure you, I’ve read them all. I’m over the moon that you’ve enjoyed the show as much as we enjoyed making it. It’s been an incredibly special week.”

The actress received an outpouring of support from fellow TV personalities who praised her remarkable portrayal of Maya Stern.

James ‘Arg’ Argent, former TOWIE star, commented, “Different class.”

In an intriguing twist, she later observes his mysterious reappearance on her nanny cam a few weeks after the incident.
