Meryl Streep and her husband Don Gummer have parted ways, and it has been quite some time since they were together.
The 74-year-old Academy Award-winning actress and the 76-year-old sculptor tied the knot in 1978 and have four children.
According to a source who spoke to Page Six on Friday (October 20), “Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been living separately for over 6 years. While they will always hold deep affection for one another, they have opted for separate paths.”
Meryl and Don have maintained a high level of privacy around their relationship, making this separation news rather unexpected.
One of the more recent public sightings of the couple was in May 2018, when they were seen having lunch with friends in Los Angeles.
In addition to their four children, Meryl and Don are also proud grandparents to five little ones.
