Mark Wahlberg is aiming to secure a cameo from Lee Majors for his film adaptation of ‘The Six Billion Dollar Man’. Majors, known for his role as former astronaut and USAF Colonel Steve Austin in the 1970s TV classic, has been a target for Wahlberg, 52, who has been striving to get the film in motion since his casting in 2014. However, numerous changes in studios and directors have caused setbacks.

Despite the challenges, Wahlberg remains optimistic about the film’s prospects and has confirmed their active pursuit of an appearance by the 84-year-old Majors.

In an interview with Parade magazine, Wahlberg mentioned, “I’ve had several conversations with Lee. Regrettably, most times I had to update Lee that ‘it’s not happening yet, but we’re persistently hopeful.'”

When asked about Majors appearing in the movie, Wahlberg expressed, “We’d be thrilled for that, and I’m aware he’s keen too. We just need to ensure that the timing aligns, but we’re actively working towards it.”

Earlier this year, Majors expressed his interest in making a cameo if the film progresses, stating to The Daily Mirror newspaper, “I know Mark Wahlberg is pushing for ‘The Six Billion Dollar Man’ movie to happen. It’s faced delays, but if they approach me for a role in it, absolutely, why not? I admire Mark Wahlberg, he’s a commendable lad!”
