Love Island’s Mehdi looks completely different months after his controversial departure from the show
Love Island personality Mehdi Edno has undergone a noticeable transformation since his short-lived stint in the villa, where he captured attention and excitement before an unexpected and dramatic departure.
A former Love Island contestant appears drastically different from his time in the villa, merely six months after a controversial exit led to his brief stint on the ITV2 programme.
Mehdi Edno, the 26-year-old French reality star, has undergone a notable transformation since gracing our screens in June. His initial appearance in the villa captivated attention as he engaged in passionate moments with several girls during the infamous heart rate challenge. Unfortunately, the public swiftly voted him off the show before any romantic connections could blossom.
During his short stay, Mehdi’s actions during the challenge left Whitney Adebayo in tears. Despite coupling up briefly during his time on the show, she was deeply affected by his behavior in the challenge and was equally distraught when the public opted to send him home.
Mehdi’s appearance has undergone a complete transformation since his Love Island days, and he proudly flaunted his new style to his 60,000 social media followers. Sporting longer, curly hair and designer glasses, he showcased his updated look while in Bordeaux, his hometown. His fans showered him with love, expressing their admiration through fire and heart-eyed emojis, giving the sports enthusiast their enthusiastic approval.
Reflecting on his time on the ITV2 dating show, Mehdi expressed no regrets and commented on his relationship with Whitney after their breakup: “Leaving now is tough because we had something special, but I’m optimistic about our future. Right now, she needs to embrace her own journey fully.”
When discussing his dream date with Whitney, he painted a romantic picture: “We’d indulge in some snails! Naturally, we’d visit charming restaurants, take leisurely strolls, gaze upon the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and do whatever she desires. I’d be her personal guide.”
Regrettably for Mehdi, these romantic plans won’t come to fruition as Whitney has paired up with another Islander and seems uninterested in pursuing a relationship with the French star post-villa.
However, Mehdi has shifted his focus away from romance. He recently revealed his ambassadorship for Diabetes UK in honour of his sister, who lives with the condition. Announcing this new role on Instagram, Mehdi shared, “Being fortunate in life is a blessing, but having the opportunity to give back is an even greater privilege. Today, I’m thrilled to embark on my journey as an ambassador for the charity @diabetesuk, aiming to support my sister and hopefully many others living with this condition. It’s not about what we possess but how we utilise it to make a positive impact.”
