“Love Island victor Amber Gill is believed to have parted ways with her partner Jen Beattie after a year-long relationship with the Arsenal footballer.

Amber, aged 26, made her initial public appearance with Jen, aged 32, at Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland in December last year. However, after a year, reports suggest that the couple has mutually decided to end their relationship due to their demanding schedules.

According to a source speaking to MailOnline, ‘Amber and Jen have chosen to go their separate ways. Despite their amicable split, the two drifted apart while struggling to find time together amidst their busy lives.’

‘There’s still a deep affection between them, and Amber will always cherish the moments shared with Jen. However, parting ways was the most suitable decision for their current paths.'”

They were seen at separate events on Thursday evening; Amber graced the Sol De Janeiro party while Jen made an appearance at the Spotify Wrapped event.

Jen, hailing from Glasgow, not only plays for the Scottish international team but also represents Arsenal. Meanwhile, Amber boasts authorship of two romance novels alongside her prominent presence on television and in the media.

Having clinched victory in Love Island 2019 with Greg O’Shea, Amber and Greg took home the £50,000 prize, yet their relationship fizzled out shortly after.

Taking to social media while watching the 2022 series of Love Island, Amber seemingly indicated a shift in her dating preferences, expressing discomfort towards men with the words: “Watching men makes me feel ill. I couldn’t put myself through it again.”

Amber and Jen were together at a summer wedding, as shown in the Instagram picture.

In a separate post, she expressed: “Changing my allegiance was the most impactful choice I’ve ever made.”

When discussing her sexuality with MTV’s Queerpiphany in September, Amber reflected on her time and expressed how, in hindsight, it was evident she wasn’t romantically inclined towards the men in the Love Island villa.

She remarked, “When I review the episodes I’ve appeared in, it’s crystal clear that I’m very much inclined towards being gay. If I stumble upon clips on TikTok, it’s glaringly apparent.”

“People kept saying, ‘Oh, you’re just overly choosy’ or ‘you’re just this’ or ‘just that.’ And I’d respond, ‘No, I simply prefer girls.’ But there was a disconnect in my understanding; something wasn’t clicking in my mind.”

Amber’s most recent TV appearance was on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, but she left the challenging series after just a few days.

Jen, a footballer who battled breast cancer in 2020 and has been actively supporting charities post-treatment, received an MBE this year for her contributions to football and charitable causes.

News Prime has reached out to Amber’s representatives for a statement.
