Lisa Kudrow, known for her role in Friends, is set to join Ray Romano in an upcoming Netflix series

Actress Lisa Kudrow, known for her role in Friends, has joined comedian Ray Romano in an upcoming Netflix comedy series titled No Good Deed.

As per Deadline, Kudrow is set to collaborate with the former star of Everybody Loves Raymond in this eight-episode dark comedy created by Liz Feldman, known for Dead to Me.

The series revolves around three diverse families, all vying to purchase a specific 1920s Spanish-style villa. Each family believes that acquiring this house will drastically improve their lives. However, could the pursuit of their dream home lead them into an unforeseen nightmare?

Lydia Morgan, portrayed by Kudrow, is wedded to Paul, played by Romano, and they’re in the process of selling their villa. Lydia, a remarkably skilled ex-concert pianist, is portrayed as high-strung but deeply committed to Paul and their two children.

The task of selling their residence in Los Feliz proves challenging for Lydia. Not only does it hold cherished memories, but it also harbours a handful of hidden secrets.

No Good Deed has expanded its cast, and Dead to Me star Linda Cardellini is among the additional stars, as reported in a separate article by Deadline.

She will be joining Kudrow and Romano, along with Teyonah Parris from The Marvels, Luke Wilson (Legally Blonde), Abbi Jacobson (A League of Their Own), and Poppy Liu (The Flight Attendant).

Cardellini is set to portray Margo Starling, described as someone who seeks status with immaculate grooming, while Wilson will take on the role of JD Campbell, a soap actor on the decline and out of work.

Parris will embody Carla, an accomplished architect and soon-to-be mother, while Jacobson plays Leslie, known for her competitive nature. Liu is set to depict Sarah, Leslie’s wife, described as unwaveringly ethical.

Kudrow, renowned for her portrayal of Phoebe Buffay in Friends from 1994 to 2004, received acclaim, winning an Emmy and two SAG awards for her performance.

Among her forthcoming projects are the horror-comedy film The Parenting, co-starring Edie Falco and Brian Cox, and the fantasy adventure series Time Bandits, slated for Apple TV+.
