Nigel Farage and This Morning’s Josie Gibson are set to join Jamie Lynn Spears and Marvin Humes on the upcoming reality programme, with reports indicating that the former Ukip leader will become the highest-paid contestant in the show’s history.

Fred Sirieix from First Dates and EastEnders actress Danielle Harold will also be stepping up to face Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly’s bushtucker trials.

However, the identities of two sports stars, previously rumored to enter the jungle, remain undisclosed, hinting at the possibility of them being this year’s latecomers.

Last year, the jungle received a surprise when comedian Seann Walsh and former health secretary Matt Hancock joined the cast after the initial filming had already begun.

Now, it seems that renowned jockey Frankie Dettori, 52, and former professional boxer Tony Bellew are poised to follow suit.

Frankie, who had previously confirmed his journey to Australia, fueled speculations of being in ‘advanced talks’ to join the show.

According to a source quoted by The Sun, “Frankie is a stellar addition to the jungle casting, given his legendary status in the horse racing world. He’s a potential goldmine for reality TV. Despite his pint-sized stature, his personality is larger than life, exuding genuine charm and a great sense of humour.”

‘Frankie would excel in the Bushtucker Trials, given his innate competitiveness. Additionally, he possesses a trove of captivating stories that could regale fellow campmates around the nightly campfire.

In the meantime, Tony, previously featured on Celebrity SAS, emerged as one of the initial names linked to this year’s I’m A Celebrity. Speculation also surrounded Katie Price’s former partner, Danny Cipriani, along with The Apprentice alum Thomas Skinner and Denise Van Outen.

ITV is yet to officially confirm the latecomers to the jungle, if any.

The latest developments follow reports of disruption during filming, attributed to Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall’s withdrawal from the series due to knee surgery.’

A reliable source revealed, “It’s a significant setback, but heading to Australia is out of the question – his surgeon would strongly advise against it.

“Alan must focus on a complete recovery, and perhaps he can join in next year.”

The informant further conveyed to The Mirror, “It’s truly disappointing as everyone was eagerly anticipating his presence on the show, but such unforeseen circumstances occur.”

“I’m A Celebrity” is set to commence on Sunday, November 19, at 9 pm on ITV2.
