The presenter of ‘Location, Location, Location’, aged 52, confessed to being the ‘lunatic in a mac’ dashing through Paddington Station in London, drenched by the effects of Storm CiarĂ¡n.

The nation is still in the process of recovering from the aftermath of this devastating weather event, with winds in excess of 100mph recorded in Jersey last Thursday, and approximately 127,000 households still without power.

Flood warnings remain in effect across the country, as Scotland and parts of northern England are anticipated to experience continued heavy rain and strong winds.

While making her way to work on Thursday amidst travel disruptions caused by the storm, Kirstie issued an apology for any inadvertent collisions.

She posted on X: ‘Apologies to anyone I just collided with at Paddington.

I found myself in a bit of a situation, wearing a raincoat with wet hair, frantically apologising and pleading with the ticket gate attendant as my ticket refused to scan.

‘I’m passionate about my job and consider myself fortunate to have it, but the travel can be quite hectic.’

Responding to fans’ comments, Kirstie confirmed that she did manage to catch her train, with another person chiming in, ‘This image of you did bring a smile to my face!’

Later in the day, Kirstie took to Instagram to share a much cheerier video of the River Dee in Chester.

‘It’s incredibly sunny here, no sign of Storm CiarĂ¡n, and the architecture is truly picturesque.

Kirstie mentioned that she’ll be reuniting with Phil Spencer for filming tomorrow in Chippenham, expressing concern about the potential impact of Storm CiarĂ¡n. This comes in the wake of Kirstie having to halt filming due to an accident that left her ‘battered and bruised’.

She was swiftly taken to the hospital after a fall down a staircase in a pub during filming for the Channel 4 programme.

Addressing her Instagram followers, Kirstie recounted, “I should have been out filming Location, Location, Location, except yesterday, when we were in a pub in Stoke Newington, filming our start-of-day chat with our lovely house hunters Beth and Rory, I went off to the loo.”

“Unfortunately, I got something wrong and ended up falling down an entire flight of stairs,” she added.

While recuperating in bed, Kirstie managed to find some humour in the situation, remarking, “It was, without a doubt, the scariest and most painful thing I have ever experienced in my life. I feel immensely blessed to be lying here in bed without any broken bones.”

“I’m bruised and battered. I’ve had an x-ray and CT scan, and a kind doctor checked me over,” she continued.

Kirstie also expressed her gratitude for the paramedics who swiftly came to her aid at the pub, and she apologised to the show’s sound technician, who was startled by her screams during the fall.

“Fortunately, Phil, bless him, is stepping in to help,” she confirmed, adding that she hopes to offer some input to the show later in the week via FaceTime.

“I’m either lying down or gingerly moving about,” Kirstie shared. “Sitting or getting in the car is currently out of the question.”

She added, “At the time, it was incredibly painful. It didn’t feel particularly amusing, but when I was lying on the pub floor by the toilets, with my dress around my waist, which is where I had been headed, I did think there was a comedic element to it!”

“And I think my colleagues, who were terribly frightened, could eventually see the humour in the sight,” she concluded.

Kirstie’s post was flooded with well-wishes, and she closed her message by thanking everyone who assisted her after the accident.

“I’ll be on the mend quite soon!”

“Location, Location, Location” airs on Channel 4.
