Josie Gibson, known for her appearances on This Morning, candidly shared details about her numerous alcohol-related injuries, including fracturing her arm and ankle. During a discussion on the recent episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! aired on 3rd December, the 38-year-old TV presenter recounted her mishaps to the campmates.

“I’ve broken so many bones while intoxicated,” Josie disclosed, recounting an incident from a house party where she engaged in a risky game of combat rolling over a sofa. She humorously recounted, “I ended up breaking my arm in several places. Instead of seeking immediate medical attention, I opted for a makeshift remedy – placing a pillow over it for the remainder of the party. When I finally made it to the hospital, in a rather fragile state, they had to re-break it due to the delay.”

Josie also playfully mentioned former politician Nigel Farage, suggesting he might top her experiences as he was reportedly “run over.”

Josie recounted her harrowing ordeal, detailing the chain of unfortunate events that befell her. “I fell out of a nightclub and broke my ankle,” she explained, reflecting on an evening meant for celebration as she marked her engagement to Luke Sanwo.

Nigel chimed in, attempting to outdo her misfortunes, “Josie, I can surpass that – I got run over!” To which Josie, in a tone of incredulity, responded, “Nige, I’ve never known anyone quite like you. Car accidents, being run over, and even an airplane mishap!”

Despite the series of incidents, Nigel chuckled and remarked, “Still here!” prompting Josie to jest, “You’ve got nine lives!”

In his biography titled “One Party After Another: The Disruptive Life of Nigel Farage,” author Michael Crick recounts Nigel’s remarkable encounters with mortality, detailing up to four instances where he narrowly escaped death.

One such incident dates back to 1985 when Farage was struck by a Volkswagen Beetle while crossing the road at a pelican crossing. The impact launched him into the air, and he landed perilously on his head upon hitting the curb.

He endured a two-month hospital stay and had his leg immobilized in a cast for a year, yet he survived to recount the harrowing experience. Nigel sustained severe injuries from a 2010 plane crash, which is why he’s unable to participate in certain Bushtucker trials on the show.

When questioned about the challenges he might steer clear of, Nigel remarked, “I’d opt out of anything related to weightlifting. I’ve endured rather serious physical injuries, including neck reconstructions and various other ailments. They’re fully aware that my physical structure isn’t entirely intact.”

“Nevertheless, I’m still capable of handling most tasks. I highly doubt any of the challenges will be life-threatening, although I don’t expect them all to be enjoyable. But I volunteered for this. It’s a case of committing fully. So, let’s embrace it.”
