Jon Voight Expresses Disappointment with Daughter Angelina Jolie Over Views on Israel-Hamas Conflict
The 84-year-old actor has strongly criticized his daughter's anti-Israel position.
Actor Jon Voight has expressed his disappointment in his daughter, Angelina Jolie, for what he perceives as a lack of understanding of God’s honour in relation to her stance on the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Jolie has been vocal in her criticism of Israel’s response to the October 7 attacks carried out by the terrorist group Hamas, as the number of civilian casualties continues to rise.
Recently, Jolie posted a photo on her Instagram account depicting the aftermath of what seems to be an Israeli airstrike. In her post, she asserted that civilians in Gaza are facing collective punishment and dehumanization, while also being denied access to food, medicine, and humanitarian aid, which she contends is in violation of international law.
Furthermore, she accused world leaders who refrained from calling for a ceasefire of being “complicit” in these alleged transgressions.
In response, Voight took to Instagram with a video message of his own, where he addressed the camera with a US flag in the background.
“I am very disappointed that my daughter, like so many, has no understanding of God’s honour, God’s truths,” Voight began.
“This is about the destruction of the history of God’s land, the Holy Land, the land of the Jews.”
“This is a call for justice for the people of the Holy Land, God’s children. Israel, it is the duty of the Israeli army to defend their land and their people. This is a time of conflict.
“The situation will not be as the left imagines; civil discourse seems unlikely.
“Innocent babies, mothers, fathers, and grandparents fell victim to inhuman acts of terror upon Israel,” he continued.
Voight’s address continued: “Those who label Israel as the problem should introspect and question themselves – ‘Who am I? What do I stand for?’
“Turn to God and ask, ‘Am I seeking the truth, or am I being led astray, following the crowd?’ My friends, those who grasp the essence of truth discern the falsehood.”
“They recognise that Israel has come under attack, and these individuals aim to target both Jews and Christians.
“They observe that the Palestinians have not lacked financial support; substantial funds have been allocated to them. However, instead of using these resources for the betterment of their people, they diverted them towards weapon production, driven by their anger.
“The Israeli populace genuinely cares for one another, holding love and respect in high regard – something these individuals fail to comprehend. Well, my friends from all corners of the globe… justice will prevail.
“We all yearn for peace and love, don’t we? But we cannot align ourselves with these individuals!
“Hamas and their deceptive leadership are causing harm to their own people, not Israel.”
Voight continued to describe the response of Israel’s soldiers as “heroic”, asserting that Jews “survived the Holocaust and will now endure this Hamas-induced ordeal”.

Through their refusal to call for a humanitarian ceasefire and their obstruction of the UN Security Council in imposing one on both parties, world leaders are implicated in these heinous acts.”
