Jennifer Aniston is reportedly feeling “saddened” by allegations that her late Friends co-star, Matthew Perry, was involved in assaulting women. The two shared a friendship that predated their roles as Rachel Green and Chandler Bing in the popular 90s US sitcom. Following Perry’s death at the age of 54 last October, Aniston expressed that his passing had a profound impact on her.

At the Critics Choice Awards last week, The Morning Show star, aged 54, maintained a composed appearance. Although she did not directly address the abuse allegations, Aniston conveyed to reporters on the red carpet her desire for people to “celebrate Matthew.”

Insiders have now made claims that Perry, who allegedly assaulted women, including his ex-fiancée Molly Hurwitz, had misled about being sober after grappling with drug and alcohol addiction for years.

In light of these developments, a source has asserted that Aniston and the rest of the Friends core cast are collectively feeling “stressed” about the situation.

The individuals involved expressed their reluctance to give any credence to the negative claims against Matthew. They emphasized that addressing these allegations would inadvertently lend them weight, but acknowledged feeling stressed and saddened by the overwhelming wave of negativity.

In a statement to Closer Magazine, they shared their collective desire to remember the kind and loving person they knew in Matthew. The focus remains on cherishing the positive aspects of his character amidst the challenges they are facing.

Matthew Perry’s memoir, “Friends, Lovers and The Big Terrible Thing,” featured warm sentiments towards a woman referred to as “Erin,” later identified as Morgan Moses. Perry affectionately described her as his “best friend” and credited her with saving his life.

Contrary to these sentiments, recent claims suggest a different dynamic between Perry and Moses. According to a source cited by the Daily Mail, their professional collaboration ended, and Perry experienced a severe breakdown. The source explained that, in the heat of the moment, he struggled to control his emotions, driven by a fear of abandonment.

The claim is that Perry “shoved” Miss Moses into a wall and tossed her onto a bed before she departed.

Moses is thought to have ceased working with Perry a year prior to the publication of his memoir.

Regarding his former fiancée Molly Hurwitz, it is alleged that she “confronted him” upon discovering a romantic gift he had purchased for someone else.

They contend that during a heated argument, Perry “threw a coffee table at her,” resulting in the termination of their relationship.
