Jeff Brazier has addressed concerns from Strictly Come Dancing viewers who sensed something amiss with his son Bobby during his performance on Saturday night.

The BBC EastEnders star’s subdued and emotionally charged appearance on the show over the weekend prompted worry. Dianne Buswell was seen embracing him and referring to him as her “rock,” according to The Mirror.

Bobby’s father, Jeff, who is a parent to Bobby and his brother Freddy with the late Big Brother icon Jade Goody, has chosen not to delve into the specifics of his 20-year-old son’s mood online.

Instead, he extended a message of support to Bobby’s Strictly co-star Adam Thomas after he achieved the highest score of the series thus far.

He remarked, “It was bound to happen,” following the impressive performance by the Waterloo Road actor. Thomas, along with professional dancer Luba Mushtuk, danced to “I Wonder Why” by Curtis Stigers, earning a score of 32. This touching moment even brought Thomas’s brother, actor Ryan Thomas, to tears as he watched from the audience.

Over the weekend, Dianne and Bobby donned striking red ensembles for their Tango performance to David Bowie’s ‘Fashion’, garnering an impressive 30 points from the judges. However, despite their dynamic display and high scores, some viewers sensed an unusual atmosphere surrounding the duo.

A number of fans speculated that Dianne may have had something on her mind that was affecting her focus during the performance, as expressed on various social media platforms.

One Redditor shared, “Bobby & Dianne: They executed the tango brilliantly, forceful and precise. They were underscored, but it seemed like both were dealing with some emotions today, like there was a sombre mood hanging over them, and it might have impacted their performance. I hope everything is alright, and they remain frontrunners for the mirrorball.”

Another comment read, “I was looking forward to a Bowie tango, but this arrangement felt peculiar, and I think Bobby would have fared much better with traditional tango music. Having said that, he maintained a lovely posture and executed some intricate choreography, which isn’t common for a male celebrity. You can see Dianne is really pushing him.”

A different fan expressed concern, stating, “Dianne and Bobby in tears??? Absolutely not. I never want these two to experience sadness. They are my WINNERS, OKAY? They must always be happy #strictly.” Another chimed in, “Are Bobby and Dianne okay? They seem very emotional #strictly.”
