ITV’s Stephen Mulhern leaves Deal or No Deal audience member stunned following girlfriend’s revelation
Viewers tuned in to ITV's gameshow, Deal or No Deal, found themselves in fits of laughter as host Stephen Mulhern playfully engaged an audience member who seemed quite reluctant to be caught on camera.
The presenter of ITV’s ‘Deal or No Deal’, Stephen Mulhern, diverged from the planned script in Monday’s episode (December 4), surprising viewers by engaging an unassuming audience member.
The show’s new host warmly welcomed nurse Sophia onto the stage as she challenged the banker for a chance at a substantial cash prize. Upon introducing herself to the viewers, Sophia mentioned that her boyfriend, Dan, was present in the audience, showing his support.
With a bashful greeting, Dan acknowledged the audience before Sophia disclosed to Stephen that being on camera likely made him uncomfortable. However, Stephen mischievously rushed over to Dan, even sitting on his lap, bringing the cameras along and encouraging them to focus more on him.
“He’s not keen on being on camera? I’ll watch from this spot with Dan,” he enthused, settling onto his lap. Followers flocked to X to share their thoughts on the amusing interaction: “Stephen perched on his lap,” chuckled one fan with accompanying laughing emojis.
