ITV’s ‘I’m A Celebrity’ faces turmoil as Frankie Dettori reveals an ‘incident’ with potential for escalation
Jockey Frankie Dettori has disclosed a disagreement between Fred Sirieix from 'First Dates' and Josie Gibson from 'This Morning' regarding the camp kitchen, shortly after his departure.
It’s been an eventful season on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! with its fair share of drama from the get-go. But one of the campmates has recently divulged some inside information, shedding light on a brewing clash between two major personalities in the jungle.
To summarise, Italian jockey Frankie Dettori bid farewell to camp this weekend, becoming the first celebrity to be voted off this season. During his exit interview with hosts Ant and Dec, the 52-year-old shared insights into life in the jungle and revealed details about the conflict involving First Dates’ Fred Sirieix and This Morning’s Josie Gibson.
Fans tuning in last night witnessed a heated exchange between Fred and Josie following camp leader Nella Rose’s decision to relegate the French maître d’hôtel from kitchen duties to washing up. Throughout the series, Fred has assumed the role of head chef, a self-appointed position upon his arrival.
Nella’s move to shake up the dynamics prompted Fred to express his frustration to Danielle Harold from EastEnders, wishing for more receptiveness to his suggestions in the kitchen. “She seems set on her own way, despite not being much of a cook at home,” he remarked.
Fred drew a parallel, likening the scenario to asking Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson to teach boxing in the presence of professional boxer Tony Bellew.
Josie requested Fred’s cooperation to continue with dinner, but Frankie has now highlighted a potential escalation if the matter remains unaddressed.
Speaking to Ant and Dec, Frankie described a recent disagreement, mentioning that there were conflicting opinions, likening it to “too many chefs in the kitchen.”
Tony Bellew contributed to the tense situation by expressing his sentiments privately in the Bush Telegraph. The 41-year-old highlighted that while nobody desires a major confrontation, tensions are mounting.
He remarked, “If things persist as they are, the situation is likely to intensify.”
When pressed about their culinary prowess by the Saturday Night Takeaway stars outside the camp, Frankie swiftly acknowledged that Fred possesses more refined cooking skills.
Nevertheless, amidst the episode, Fred did extend compliments to Josie for her dish, deeming it “delicious” as the tensions eased. Hopefully, this gesture signifies a return to harmony in the camp, fostering a conducive atmosphere for everyone to coexist amicably!
