In less than a week since its debut, ‘I’m A Celebrity’ has plunged into turmoil. Reports reveal the camp has come under siege, with two celebs falling prey.

The relentless rain has unleashed a plague of bloodthirsty leeches upon the campgrounds, causing distress for Sam Thompson and Nick Pickard. The downpour acted as a catalyst, luring these unpleasant critters into the camp, as reported by The Mirror.

Last week’s erratic weather, coupled with soaring temperatures, created a prime habitat for these leeches. A source divulged, “Sam found a leech attached to his foot, and Nick encountered one on his hand – the rain has drawn them out in droves.”

Production has issued caution to the celebs, emphasizing vigilance. Although leeches drop off naturally after feeding, in a weakened and depleted state, this poses considerable challenges for the contestants.

According to The Sun’s insider, “There’s a real concern about potential infections at the leech bite sites, especially given the celebs’ already depleted condition.”

The leech invasion follows the removal of snakes by experts. Health and safety officer Jeremy Douglas confirmed that the recent weather patterns have led to an upsurge in these creatures within the camp.

He mentioned, “This year, we’ve seen a surge in snakes on the premises, probably due to the high humidity. Pythons, both venomous and non-venomous species, have been frequent visitors.”

Executive producer Laura Woolf chimed in, saying, “We’ve recorded 15 instances of snake sightings across the site, and some of these have been venomous species that needed identification.”

“The situation escalates when the celebrities arrive as they tend to leave food scattered all over. It’s as if they don’t grasp that they’re residing in a jungle!”
