A popular personality from This Morning shared on social media that they had been experiencing prolonged discomfort for several months before eventually undergoing surgery.
Holly Jay-Smith, a familiar face on This Morning, caused concern among her followers when she shared images of herself from a hospital bed.
The Coupon Queen opened up to her 107,000 followers about discovering two bone tumours in her left leg a few months back. The ITV presenter endured prolonged pain before finally undergoing surgery at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham.
Accompanying a photo of herself lying in the hospital bed, she expressed, “I’m sharing this now as I’m ready to leave 2023 behind. Some months ago, I learned I had two bone tumours in my left leg, causing considerable damage in my lower tibia. It involved months of rest, numerous tests, and persistent pain before surgery became an option.
“(I stepped away from social media as I wasn’t in a good place). Just under 2 weeks ago, I underwent surgery at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham, where surgeons reconstructed my tibia using metalwork and donor bone. I won’t sugarcoat it; the pain is intense, and walking might pose a challenge for a while. But I’m eager to return to what I’m passionate about (saving money!).”
“Here’s to a hopeful 2024 with plenty of visits to Birmingham (apparently, they’ve got a decent Primark!)” Fans flooded the comments, wishing her a swift recovery. One user wrote, “Wishing you a speedy recovery. Sending loads of love.”
Another comment read, “Really sorry to hear you’ve been through a tough time.
