Renowned TV presenter Cat Deeley is set to join ITV’s This Morning following the departure of Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield from the show.

ITV announced that Deeley will co-host with Rylan Clark on Mondays and Tuesdays. Additionally, she will team up with Craig Doyle on Wednesdays, followed by a Thursday pairing with Alison Hammond and Craig.

The regular Friday hosting duties will continue with Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.

A seasoned television personality at 47, Cat Deeley commenced her career as a co-host for the ITV children’s show SMTV Live, earning a BAFTA Children’s Award for her contributions.

She also presented the music spin-off show CD:UK from 1998 to 2005, later taking the helm on Fame Academy and Stars in Their Eyes.

Since 2006, Deeley has been the face of So You Think You Can Dance in the United States.

According to The Sun, a source revealed: “Cat is a seasoned pro, and executives have been eager to bring her on board for a while. She handles live TV effortlessly, displaying wit and personability with guests.

“Comfortable interviewing both pop stars and politicians, if all goes well, she could become a more permanent fixture to fill the void left by Holly. Cat would be a reliable captain to steady the ship.”

Since Willoughby’s departure, viewers have been speculating about who might step into her shoes on the daytime show.

“This farewell is incredibly challenging; you are remarkable, and I will forever take pride in our collective achievements. My heartfelt thanks to everyone at ITV for their unwavering support.

“To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you. Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.

“Richard and Judy said ‘we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers’. It’s been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family.

“I will miss you all so much. Holly.”
