Yesterday, there were reports indicating that she and Ben Shepard were poised to lead the mid-morning talk show, negotiating substantial contracts with ITV.

However, it appears the media personality has chosen to resume her previous role as a presenter on ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ in the US instead.

Cat and Ben were purportedly top contenders to replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as the new permanent hosts of the show.

Nonetheless, the Daily Mail now states that Cat has turned down this opportunity.

In the previous month, the host garnered significant approval from viewers, who strongly advocated for her to be appointed as a permanent presenter.

According to a source, ITV executives are deeply disappointed by the rejection of the job offer, having been impressed by her performance as a guest presenter last month.

“There’s a lot of frustration among the team,” the source revealed.

“The planned relaunch in January is now out of the question. Cat was seen as the perfect fit.

“She would have been a huge success, but unfortunately, they couldn’t finalise the arrangements. Now, it’s back to the drawing board to devise a new strategy,” they added.

The American dance competition, which Cat has hosted since 2005, had its production halted due to COVID-19.

However, it unexpectedly resumed this month, and filming is scheduled to recommence in early spring next year, continuing until June.
