Fans of 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' were stunned when Nick Pickard was eliminated in the latest episode.
In the most recent episode of the enduring reality series, the renowned figure from Hollyoaks followed the paths of Frankie Dettori, Nella Rose, and Fred Sirieix, as the public voted for his departure.
At 48 years old, the actor has portrayed Tony Hutchinson since the show’s inception in 1995.
While many fellow celebrities found the variety of foods in the jungle disconcerting, Nick expressed to hosts Ant and Dec that his culinary experiences had actually been among the highlights of his time there. He mentioned that consuming kangaroo tail wasn’t as unpleasant as anticipated.
Nevertheless, after spending two weeks in the camp and grappling with an uncomfortable rash, he felt prepared to return home.
Nick conveyed that it was an ‘honour’ to have been invited to participate.
“‘I agreed just for the pleasure of it, and it turned out to be quite enjoyable,’ he remarked.
Though Nick wasn’t particularly concerned about departing, many viewers at home felt frustrated.
‘Disappointed that Nick has departed… peculiar outcomes this series,’ commented one individual on X, previously known as Twitter.
‘Nick is incredibly pleasant – his departure interview was the best so far. You could sense he had a wonderful time but was content to finish. A delightful chap,’ remarked another.
Yet another person added: ‘I’m upset about Nick’s departure. He’s such a delightful man, I was really rooting for him to win.’”
Many questioned why he had been sent home while former politician Nigel Farage remained in the camp.
‘NIGEL FARAGE IS STILL IN THE CAMP AND YOU’RE TELLING ME NICK GOT VOTED OUT??????’ someone exclaimed.
This sentiment was echoed by numerous others, who also expressed their desire to see Nigel eliminated soon.
Following Nick’s departure, six famous personalities remain in contention – Nigel, Josie Gibson, Sam Thompson, Marvin Humes, Tony Bellew, and Danielle Harold are all vying for the title.
