Heidi Klum’s epic Halloween costume took six hours and involved 10 Cirque Du Soleil dancers in its creation

 

Heidi Klum, the 50-year-old model known for her legendary annual spooky parties, invested six hours and enlisted the help of 10 Cirque Du Soleil artists to craft her extravagant peacock Halloween costume this year. Following her 2022 appearance as a minimalist rainworm, Klum expressed a desire for something more elaborate. On the night of October 31, 2023, she was surrounded by backup dancers in green bodysuits, emulating a full plume of feathers.

In an interview with ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Klum revealed, ‘The hair and makeup took approximately six hours, but the real effort was in the planning, coordinating with the artists, and finalizing their costumes and makeup.’

Choosing this year’s opulent ensemble, Klum sought to involve ‘multiple people’ after opting for a more understated look the previous year. She elaborated, ‘Since I went for a very minimalist rainworm in 2022, I wanted to create something very elaborate and involve multiple individuals in the costume. I pondered, what could that be? What creature or animal could achieve that effect? The idea of a peacock came to mind because of its majestic display of feathers opening up. I envisioned it as an art performance.’

The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge, known for past costumes like Princess Fiona from ‘Shrek’, the animated seductress Jessica Rabbit, and The Mask, recently shared that she embarked on a 10-hour round trip to oversee the progress of this year’s costume. Klum confided to ‘ET’, ‘I took a five-hour flight to a mysterious location – I won’t divulge where to maintain the element of surprise – and returned in another five hours just to check on the progress. Thankfully, everything is progressing remarkably well. And, in the slightest hint I can offer, expect a burst of vibrant colours and a grandiose presence. Honestly, I envisioned it to be nothing short of epic.
