Gary Neville as Dragons’ Den Guest: Watch to See if I Pledge an Investment

Gary Neville has hinted that Dragons’ Den viewers will need to "stay tuned" to find out if he decides to invest in any aspiring entrepreneurs during his guest appearance on the show.

An initial glimpse of the special episodes for the 21st season of the BBC One business programme reveals the ex-footballer donned in a sombre navy blue suit.

Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies, Deborah Meaden, Steven Bartlett, Gary Neville, and Peter Jones feature on Dragons’ Den (BBC Studios/Simon Pantling/PA).

The 48-year-old commentator remarked, “I’m delighted to be a guest on Dragons’ Den for the upcoming series, witnessing the remarkable pitches from aspiring entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds.

“It was an honour to impart my expertise and counsel to the courageous entrepreneurs who stepped into the Den, although whether I’ve made any investments remains to be seen.”

Since concluding his tenure at Manchester United, Neville has established a diverse portfolio of business ventures, encompassing ventures such as a hotel and various property developments.

Joining the show as a guest alongside Neville is fashion and retail tycoon Emma Grede.

Neville and Grede will join the regular panel featuring Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies, and Steven Bartlett.

New images also capture the Dragons within the Den, with the Manchester skyline forming a striking backdrop as evening falls.

Grede expressed, “Returning to the UK and participating in this series as a guest Dragon has been an incredible, full-circle experience for me. Sharing the knowledge gained from building my own business with these entrepreneurs holds great significance. This upcoming series boasts a wealth of remarkable talent, and I trust it will ignite inspiration in the next generation to forge their own paths.”

Samantha Davies, Executive Producer at BBC Studios, affirmed that the “current Dragons won’t simply step aside and let them secure all the top deals.”

“Viewers can anticipate the customary competitiveness and flair in the Den… Gary and Emma are both masters in their respective fields, and witnessing their distinct styles and viewpoints in the business realm will be truly fascinating.”

– Dragons’ Den is set to make its return for series 21 in 2024.
