Fred Sirieix, known from First Dates, has exited I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as the third contestant following a public vote.

Throughout his stint on the ITV reality show, he clashed with fellow contestants regarding cooking responsibilities. Additionally, in Tuesday’s episode, he was criticised for seemingly eager participation in bushtucker trials.

The 51-year-old found himself at odds with YouTuber Nella Rose (the second eliminated contestant), former Ukip leader Nigel Farage, and This Morning presenter Josie Gibson during his time on the show.

He informed presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly that he felt compelled to intervene in Gibson’s meal preparation at the camp, citing significant stakes involved in food management, noting, ‘She’s just improvising as she goes.’

Sirieix alleged that Gibson wasn’t storing leftovers for later consumption, emphasising, ‘Caloric intake is crucial, and it’s essential to make the most of available resources.’

Addressing allegations of taking control of the trials, he clarified, ‘I wasn’t chosen by the public to participate in any trials. We had discussed this beforehand, and I believe it was fair.’

However, when former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson and Hollyoaks actor Nick Pickard were designated as camp chefs following Danielle Harold’s role as camp leader, Sirieix expressed relief.

The French TV personality remarked, ‘The kitchen operated with a high level of professionalism: methodical, efficient, impeccably organised, clean, and adhering to the correct cooking sequences.

He referred to Farage as a ‘doer,’ praising his presence in camp despite their clashes over Brexit.

‘I find a side of Nigel Farage that I simply can’t relate to and never will,’ added Sirieix.

He mentioned being fully immersed in the Australian jungle experience, expressing a detachment from thoughts of home or work.

In the latest development, Sirieix had to reach a consensus with the group regarding who would undertake the wall trial after public voting concluded.

JLS singer Marvin Humes was chosen by the celebrities as the initial participant, affirming his readiness with a resounding ‘I’m up for it, 100%’. Sirieix promptly volunteered to join him.

However, Thompson expressed interest in participating, a suggestion Sirieix dismissed, insisting that the Made In Chelsea star should join him and Humes for ‘men’s stuff’.

Former boxer Tony Bellew advised Sirieix to ‘chill’, and eventually, they agreed to include him.

Apart from Sirieix, Pickard discussed the tension with former EastEnders star Harold and Gibson.

“Harold mentioned, ‘Once he’s made up his mind, he’s quite assertive,’ while Gibson described him as ‘slightly lacking in social awareness.’

Sirieix commented, ‘I don’t believe anyone was eager to undertake the trials.’

Prior to the trial, McPartlin and Donnelly remarked that Sirieix was ‘taking control again,’ following an apparent interruption in their hosting during Monday’s episode.

Humes and Sirieix secured five stars out of a potential eight.
