Evan Ellingson, known for his roles in ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ and ‘CSI: Miami’, has passed away at the age of 35. His body was discovered in a bedroom at his residence in Fontana, California, on Sunday, 11th May 2023.

While the exact cause of Ellingson’s death remains undetermined, an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

His father, Michael, informed TMZ that Evan had faced struggles with substance abuse in the past. However, he emphasized that Evan had been making significant progress recently, and the family is deeply shocked by his sudden demise.

Over the past decade, Ellingson had withdrawn from the screen entirely. In contrast, earlier in his career, he achieved notable success, notably in the 2009 drama ‘My Sister’s Keeper’, alongside Cameron Diaz and Alec Baldwin.

Additionally, he portrayed Kyle Harmon in ‘CSI: Miami’ and had minor roles in several well-known shows including ‘General Hospital’, ‘That Was Then’, ‘Mad TV’, ‘Bones’, and ’24’.

Despite his retreat from the entertainment industry, in a 2009 interview, Ellingson expressed no regrets about his childhood stardom, stating that he cherished the experience and had a fulfilling early passion for acting. He remarked to The Philippine Star: “I never had the same [childhood] experience with my friends. I never had more time with them. However, my childhood was a cool one. I was busy doing the things I love. I had no regrets because I found my passion for acting early on.”
