Following her exit from the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here jungle, Danielle Harold has played down reports of conflict within the camp following several hinted disagreements aired on screen.

The ex-EastEnders actress, renowned for her portrayal of Lola Pearce in the soap, was the fifth participant to depart the jungle on Thursday evening. Shortly after her elimination, she promptly dispelled any speculation about tense confrontations during her stay.

During her appearance on Lorraine on Friday morning, Danielle shared insights into her jungle experience, consistently emphasizing that despite the portrayal by cameras, there were no real conflicts among the participants.

She expressed, “I formed unique connections with everyone, but Sam Thompson became akin to a little brother during our time together. Despite being the same age, he feels like family; we’d tease each other and had an absolute blast. My affection for him knows no bounds. Upon returning to the hotel, all the lads were present.”

The 31-year-old personality even hinted that the camaraderie was so strong that they planned to create a WhatsApp group post-show to stay connected.

This sentiment starkly contrasted the on-screen conflicts witnessed over the past three weeks involving Fred Sirieix, Josie Gibson, Nella Rose, Tony Bellew, and Nigel Farage.

Following her departure on Thursday evening, Danielle confessed to show hosts Ant and Dec that she had observed several clashes during her time, admitting she had been a spectator and had enjoyed them.

However, she downplayed any remaining drama, stating that she had reunited with her fellow eliminated camp-mates. She expressed, “Seeing Nella, Fred, Frankie again was overwhelming. I had an incredible time in there with them.”

“They are the most amazing group of people I’ve ever spent that much time with. I’m immensely grateful for them; we laughed throughout the experience.”

Surviving a total of 20 days in the camp, Danielle shared that one of the first things she did upon leaving was to take a shower, followed by indulging in a meal from McDonald’s!

Though her time in the jungle was tragically cut short just days before the announcement of the new jungle monarch, the actress openly revealed her support for a particular campmate to seize the crown.

Expressing her backing for Sam to emerge victorious, Danielle remarked, ‘He’s practically become like a brother to me. We both have a wild side and a boisterous nature. When someone resonates with your energy like that, they simply bring joy to your life.’

‘I’m delighted that this was my year. Sometimes when you watch, you think, “I wouldn’t want to be in there,” but with them, there wasn’t a single unpleasant soul, not even Mr Farage.’

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs every night at 9 pm on ITV and ITVX.
