Brad Wale, a contestant from the West Midlands on the revived ITV show ‘Deal Or No Deal,’ has shared a deeply moving update following the revelation of his terminal health diagnosis. During a November episode, Brad’s disclosure of his battle with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) left both his fellow contestants and viewers profoundly touched.

MND affects the motor nerves, gradually causing their degeneration and eventual demise. This progressive degeneration weakens the muscles, ultimately leading to paralysis.

Brad participated in the show with the aim of raising funds for his family and accomplishing items on his bucket list. Regrettably, the emotionally charged episode saw him depart with only £5, a heart-wrenching outcome for all involved.

While conversing with hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, Brad mentioned, “The journey towards diagnosis has been lengthy. It only became apparent very recently.” He went on to say, “It might sound strange, but upon hearing it for the first time, there was an almost palpable sense of relief.”

Providing an update on his condition, Brad mentioned, “I experience cramping in my hands and feet, limiting my ability to walk. Speech therapy has improved my speech somewhat, although fatigue remains a constant challenge.”

He continued, “I now rely heavily on various adaptations to manage daily life. Nonetheless, I firmly believe in maintaining a positive outlook, confident that positivity will help me persevere through it all.”

Wishing him all the very best.’

Subsequent to Brad’s appearance on the show, his fellow participant from Deal Or No Deal, Rochelle, established a fundraising page on his behalf. Post his interview on GMB, donations to Brad’s fundraiser surpassed £50,000.
