CBeebies personality Rebecca Keatley has shared on social media that she's joyfully welcomed her 'little munchkin' a few weeks earlier than anticipated.
CBeebies star Rebecca Keatley has joyfully announced the arrival of her first child. The 37-year-old TV presenter, alongside her partner Jim Rastall, welcomed their ‘little munchkin’ into the world three weeks ahead of schedule, taking to social media to share the heartwarming news.
In her announcement, she expressed, “On Friday, November 10th, 2023, our little munchkin named Mabel made her entrance, over three weeks earlier than anticipated, weighing a healthy 4 pounds and 4 ounces. Due to foetal growth restriction, she had to be delivered early via C-section. Despite not having the water birth I’d hoped for, the techniques from hypnobirthing were incredibly helpful before and during the procedure.”
Keatley detailed the initial challenges Mabel faced, including efforts to increase her birth weight, stabilize low blood sugar levels, address a tongue tie, and manage jaundice. However, after a week marked with ups and downs, Mabel is now progressing positively at home. Keatley and Rastall, although sleep-deprived, are overwhelmed with love for their little one, describing her as an extraordinary being, and relishing every moment of this new adventure.
