Bruce Willis’ family is making the most of their time with him following his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.

The renowned actor, known for his role in Die Hard, celebrated Thanksgiving surrounded by his loved ones. His daughter Scout posted a touching video on Instagram, capturing a moment of closeness as they held hands at a table. She also shared a photo, holding her father’s hand against her face.

The occasion was also marked by his wife, Emma Heming Willis, who shared a throwback picture of the entire family. The photo included her daughters with Bruce, Mabel and Evelyn, alongside his ex-wife Demi Moore and their daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah. Emma expressed her gratitude for this bond in her post, saying, “I’m grateful and thankful to experience this kind of love.

After Bruce’s diagnosis with aphasia, a language disorder in March 2022, his family later confirmed in February that he had progressed to a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. Typically, this disease carries a life expectancy of six to eight years, although in some cases, it can be as short as two years.

A source close to the family has revealed that Emma, 45, Demi, 61, Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 29, have been dedicating as much time as possible by his side, along with the younger girls Mabel, 11, and Evelyn, nine. They informed US Weekly: “Bruce experiences both good and bad days, but in the past two months, the bad days have outnumbered the good.

“This challenging period has united the entire family even more closely. Given the uncertainty of Bruce’s remaining time, they are cherishing every moment spent with him. While Bruce receives continuous care, there is always at least one family member present with him.”

Another source has confirmed that the entire family is deeply committed to being with Bruce as much as possible, essentially living together. They mentioned, “They’re constantly there. Once Bruce received the diagnosis, everyone united to preserve the family’s connection and to serve as a constant reminder of their love for him. Everything centres around him.”

At the same time, Rumer, who has always shared a close bond with her father, reportedly brings her eight-month-old daughter Louetta to spend ample time with Bruce. The second source disclosed, “Rumer wants Louetta to know Bruce well. She desires his active involvement in Louetta’s life; it’s a profoundly special connection.”

“Rumer and her sisters cherish their father immensely. They’re acutely aware that any day could potentially be his last.” On Father’s Day, Rumer posted a photo on her Instagram account of Bruce holding Louetta, captioning it, “Papa, I’m incredibly fortunate to have you, and so is Lou.”
