Blake Shelton: I’ve witnessed an alternative aspect of Gwen Stefani

 

Blake Shelton has witnessed a transformative side of Gwen Stefani emerging since their relocation to Oklahoma.

The 47-year-old country music icon, married to Gwen since 2021, has observed a notable shift in his wife’s demeanor recently.

Speaking to E! News, Blake remarked, “I won’t claim she’s turned into a country girl, but I believe we’re beginning to witness a different facet of Gwen.”

The romantically entwined couple recently joined forces on a rendition of The Judds’ ‘Love Is Alive,’ with Blake praising Gwen’s impressive performance on the track.

Gwen, aged 54, initially rose to fame as part of the band No Doubt but has smoothly transitioned into the country genre.

Blake noted, “I think country music has given her the opportunity to showcase her incredible vocal and songwriting talents.”

Expressing his eagerness for more musical collaborations with Gwen, he stated, “I need that. My career requires you to record more music with me, Gwen.”

Earlier this year, Gwen asserted that being with Blake is her destiny.

The singer never doubted that Blake is her ideal partner. Recounting their meeting on ‘The Voice’ in 2014, she told PEOPLE, “I didn’t see any of this coming with Blake. This was just a big old ‘What?’ It was an amazing gift to experience love like that for the first time.”

“He’s changed my life… when I [started dating] Blake, that’s when I felt home, like, ‘Oh, this is where I’m supposed to be, with this guy.'”

Despite any initial reservations about Oklahoma, Gwen and Blake have grown to adore the life they’ve built there.

Gwen shared, “I am not really a dirt person, a bug person, I don’t like that much humidity. But it’s so beautiful [in Oklahoma], and you kind of feel like you’re going into this vortex. Nature – and God – is all right there.”
