The entrance to the BBC headquarters in London has been defaced with red paint.

BBC presenter Victoria Derbyshire shared images and a video of the building’s exterior this morning, captioning it: “Just arrived at work. This is the front entrance to the BBC today.”

In recent days, the BBC has faced criticism for refraining from labelling Hamas militants as terrorists. Additionally, their drama series, “The Reckoning,” which delves into the story of Jimmy Savile, one of the UK’s most notorious sex offenders, who was also a former BBC employee, has garnered significant controversy.

The Metropolitan Police have stated that there is currently no evidence linking this incident to any specific protest group.

Police officers are reportedly stationed outside the BBC as a large pro-Palestinian demonstration is expected to take place across the capital today.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police commented: “We are aware of criminal damage to a building in Portland Place, W1A. At this stage, there is no indication that this is connected to any particular protest group.”
