Adele hints at a significant movie role and has even made contact with the writer
Adele could potentially become a Hollywood actress in the future.
The acclaimed artist made a significant revelation to The Hollywood Reporter this week, expressing her interest in pursuing an acting role.
During a recent interview with the publication, Adele was questioned about her thoughts on acting, to which she initially responded with a firm ‘No.’
However, the 35-year-old Grammy winner did acknowledge her desire to take on a specific film role. She mentioned that although she has a role in mind, the individual responsible for crafting the script is not currently in the right frame of mind to commence writing it.
“There’s a particular movie I have in mind, but the individual behind it isn’t quite prepared to pen the script,” she explained.
When asked if the director is publicly known, Adele cryptically responded, “Yes, but I won’t be dropping any hints. I do nudge him occasionally about it, but he’s not ready yet. However, that’s the only role I aspire to take on.”
I believe I could excel at it. I am confident in my ability to perform exceptionally well.”
She also confirmed to THR that she has been approached for biopic roles previously but clarified her lack of interest in pursuing them.
“I receive such offers frequently. Roles portraying singers in biopics are quite commonplace, and I find them rather predictable.
“And anyone worthy of a biopic is essentially setting themselves up for trouble.”
The renowned singer concluded, “Would they expect me to perform as myself? Because that would sound like me, not like the person. So, I’d decline. But that’s the primary offer I’ve received.”
