Scottish rocker Rod Stewart recently took a trip to his neighbourhood Tesco, purchasing his very own brand of whisky.

The Maggie May singer’s blended Scotch, named Wolfie’s Whisky, is set to appear on the shelves of over 400 Tesco stores throughout the UK.

Sir Rod made an appearance at a Tesco store in Bishop’s Stortford to check out his own brand, which retails for ÂŁ35 a bottle. This follows the brand’s launch in July 2023, in partnership with Loch Lomond Distillery.

During his visit, the musician delighted staff and posed for photographs. The visit took place on Tuesday, January 30, prompted by his friends continually asking where they could purchase his whisky.

While at the supermarket, he expressed his excitement, saying, “It’s just wonderful to see Wolfie’s in pride of place here at Tesco.”

Expressing his delight, the spokesperson shared how thrilled they are that Wolfie’s whisky is now more accessible to people. The visit to the team in Bishop’s Stortford provided an opportunity to gather their impressions of the whisky.

The local connoisseurs appear to have developed a fondness for high-quality spirits, as indicated by the spokesperson’s remark about their preference for the finer things.

Wolfie’s whisky is characterised by its harmonious blend of flavours, offering a warm touch of cinnamon, the sweetness of fresh vanilla, and the comforting taste of baked apple.

Duncan Frew, a co-founder of Wolfie’s, expressed immense pride in the brand’s significant achievement. Securing a national retail listing within just seven months of introducing Wolfie’s to the market is an impressive feat.

Frew sees this achievement as a pivotal moment for the brand, signalling the start of numerous ambitious goals they aim to accomplish in 2024.

Efforts have been made to reach out to Tesco for their comments on this development.
