Kerry Katona has hit back at online critics for “spreading negativity” following an incident where she found herself in need of a pit stop on the motorway.

The mother-of-five had to make an unscheduled roadside pit stop due to a traffic jam on the M56.

The 43-year-old was en route to her performance as the Wicked Queen in a pantomime show in Ellesmere Port when she encountered a two-hour delay on the road.

Sharing a video of the unconventional moment on her Instagram, the former Atomic Kitten singer faced some backlash.

Addressing her 826,000 followers in the video, she could be heard asking her daughters, “Can anyone see me?!”

Kerry openly admitted to her struggles with stage fright, candidly asking her daughters, “Can people see my bum and everything?!”

Although many of her supporters found the video amusing, certain individuals labelled her as “trash” and deemed the situation “embarrassing.”

In response to the disparaging remarks, Kerry shared a video prior to her evening performance in the Snow White pantomime. She expressed, “Please cease the hateful comments, it’s entirely unnecessary. It was meant in jest, and it’s genuinely distressing me.

“It’s acceptable for men to engage in such humour, yet women, who endure childbirth and nurture children, are unfairly scrutinised.

“Let’s ease up on the hostility, everyone! I didn’t even execute it; it was merely a jest. I didn’t even urinate.”

One of her daughters chimed in, remarking, “When nature calls, you’ve got to answer!”

Kerry responded with a grin, “Cheers, high-five!” and enthusiastically exchanged a high-five with her daughter.

She concluded, “And to all the spiteful individuals making cruel remarks about me and my kids, my children stand by me.”

Numerous supporters swiftly rallied to Kerry’s defence, with one expressing, “It’s disheartening how judgemental people can be. I’ve found myself in situations desperately needing the loo while travelling, facing the choice of uncomfortable places or risking an accident. Some need a reality check.”

Another person chimed in: “Disregard the negativity; they’re just unhappy and isolated individuals with nothing constructive to occupy their time except dragging others down.”

Meanwhile, a third individual remarked: “The world is brimming with judgmental individuals. We’ll never completely rid ourselves of such fools. Alas.”

Yet another commented: “Frankly, some folks will grumble about anything – when nature calls, one simply has to respond!”
