The woman who asserted that she had a seven-year affair with Gordon Ramsay has unveiled why the festive season brings her the most profound sadness.

Sarah Symonds was in her thirties when she purportedly engaged in a clandestine relationship with the television chef. She reflected on the desolation she experienced during Christmas, unable to share it with the Kitchen Nightmares star, who has been married to his wife and mother of his six children, Tana Ramsay, since 1996.

She stated that it was her ‘lengthiest, albeit most unwise’ involvement with a man, and during the years spent together, Christmases were spent in solitude. “By the age of 37, our relationship was the longest, albeit the most unwise, I’d ever had with a man (and remains the longest relationship I’ve ever been in),” claimed Sarah.

“Yet, the intensity of my emotions was accompanied by profound feelings of isolation. I had spent the six previous Christmases alone, never once waking up on Christmas morning beside the man I had fallen for, and now I found myself in the same situation. Alone.”

In her MailOnline piece, she remarked, “Christmas becomes dishearteningly bleak when you’re entangled with a married man. No matter how much they profess care for you, it’s their spouse they always return to, especially on the most enchanting day of the year.” News Prime has reached out to Gordon’s representatives for a statement.

As per Sarah, the author of ‘Having an Affair? A Handbook for the Other Woman’, Gordon presented her with a gift just 10 days prior to Christmas in 2007. She mentioned that during their on-and-off relationship spanning seven years, Gordon never discussed their festive plans. Their paths crossed “in the winter of 2001” at the Chinawhite Nightclub when Sarah, then 31, worked in sales for an events and limousine company in London.

The claim of an extramarital relationship became public in 2008 through its publication in the News of the World. Back then, he vehemently refuted Sarah’s accusations, stating to a BBC Good Food Show audience in Birmingham, “If I were to be unfaithful, it certainly wouldn’t be with someone of such low repute.”

During the same event, he jestingly remarked, “What a week it’s been. With Mum in the audience tonight, I’m on my utmost best behaviour. Oh, pardon my language. Mum, I assure you, it wasn’t me. I love you.”

In Sarah’s book, widely speculated to be referring to Gordon, she noted, “He confided in my friend about difficulties in his marriage, mentioning being relegated to sleeping in the basement.”

Sarah further asserted, “I’m still perplexed about why Gordon, who claims to be happily married, was present at a nightclub at 2 am.”
