BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty playfully teased her cherished colleague while they both enjoyed a lively Christmas market.

On Friday (December 22), the 48-year-old presenter and her co-host Charlie Stayt welcomed viewers to the morning show from the BBC studios. During the week’s final segment, they delved into significant headlines, touching upon the winter solstice festivities and the recent allegations of sexual abuse against actor Vin Diesel by a former PA.

In the lead-up to Christmas, meteorologist Carol Kirkwood explored various festive locations across the country. Concluding the week’s episodes, Kirkwood, the radiant presenter, ventured to Cirencester in the Cotswolds, where she interacted with two magnificent reindeers while delivering the weather forecast. Naga introduced the weather segment, which commenced with an image of Father Christmas reviewing his list of naughty and nice children.

The newsreader couldn’t resist a playful dig at her co-star while introducing the segment. She quipped, “Time now for the weather, and Carol finds herself in a rather festive setting. She’s aged gracefully, hasn’t she?”

“Carol, you’re looking splendid [this morning],” she teased. Fortunately, the 61-year-old shrugged off the light-hearted comment, which might just land her colleague on the naughty list this Christmas, and swiftly moved on.

Presenting the latest weather report, the broadcaster cautioned people across Britain to brace for a wet Christmas this year. Naga Munchetty then smoothly transitioned to the next segment. However, this wasn’t the first time Naga caused a stir this week while seated on the renowned red sofa.

Last Thursday, which fell on December 21, Charlie and Naga were observed arguing about a segment related to the festive season during the show. It didn’t take long for Naga, with her dark hair, to involve the weather reporter in their latest disagreement.

Naga remarked, ‘You’ve managed to avoid that, you’ve managed to avoid that quite skillfully,’ while the frustrated blonde, simmering with annoyance, retorted, ‘I really dislike being dragged into your disagreements, both of you. It’s much better to stay out of it.’

The presenter chuckled and quipped, ‘I’ll demonstrate a real domestic,’ just before Carol swiftly transitioned into her latest weather report. This incident occurred shortly after BBC Broadcaster reporter Ben Bouluos was mistakenly identified as a food market stall vendor during a live broadcast.

The journalist was reporting live from Birmingham on Wednesday morning, December 20th, to deliver the latest breaking news about the UK’s inflation, which had decreased to 3.9 percent in November. While speaking with Sally Nugent and Jon Kay in the studio, viewers caught sight of a man perusing the items in the warehouse behind Ben.

The shopper momentarily appeared on screen before Ben, aged 39, paused his report to address the man: “I’m not an employee here, I’m just presenting the news.” Laughter from his colleagues echoed in the studio.

BBC Breakfast is broadcasted daily on BBC One from 6 am.
